I wanted
to start by telling you a bit about me. I graduated from veterinary school in 1989 and
have been practicing as a veterinarian since. In 2001, I opened my
own veterinary practice. Also I have a passion for the horse and have
been raising some quarter horses for barrel racing and racing.
As a veterinarian, I
am busy with my rural ambulatory and small animal veterinary
practice. I look after farm animals and pets. I have been adding
complementary medicine to the western medicine treatments. The one

I am acquiring a
Class IV companion laser machine for use in my vet practice. The
laser has given results like decreased inflammation, decreased pain,
decreased healing time.

For those of you who are in high gopher
populations where there are bait stations put out with bait such as
Rozol to kill them to help control the exploding population, should
be aware that you dog may get into this bait and it is harmful to
him if he eats enough. Symptoms come in about a week. They are
lethargy, not eating and weak, painful abdomen. Contact your vet
immediately if you suspect you dog may have eaten anything from the
bait stations or if your dog is not feeling right.
I recently returned from a
vet conference held in Las Vegas. I heard that studies are
underway to see whether the rabies vaccination in pets can be done
every 5 to 7 years. Great news for the pets if it can.
